Group Sales Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Position Summary: Ski.com is seeking qualified group sales managers to book customized winter and summer mountain vacation packages to more than 120 destinations worldwide. The position requires strong verbal (phone) and written sales skills and the ability to provide customer service that meets or exceeds customer expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and nurture relationships with ski group leaders and planners at social organizations
  • Respond effectively to inbound phone, email and chat inquires for ski and summer mountain vacations
  • Assess inquires/leads and generate quotes with packages that are aligned with the group’s needs and budget
  • Follow up with group leaders to make sure there aren’t any outstanding questions and all needs are met
  • Confirm and book complete vacation packages for groups of all sizes
  • Provide excellent customer service to groups throughout the entire sales and vacation process
  • Prospect for new business by leveraging Ski.com’s experience, vast inventory and proprietary group booking software
  • Participate in ongoing sales, on-site destination and product training opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Minimum 2- 4 years of sales experience required – experience in hospitality and/or the travel industry a plus
  • Strong organizational, phone and multi-tasking skills that result in high productivity
  • Goal oriented
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent professional customer service skills
  • Ability to travel as needed
