Those in search of a menu that caters to larger groups or families with varying tastes, should give Black Bear Grill a go. This restaurant, located off of Highway 6, serves everything from wings to salad, soup and sandwiches, to burgers and fries, to flat bread pizza and even heartier entrees like steak and fish. Haywood Café is a great spot to grab breakfast and lunch. Haywood’s benedicts and omelets are not to be missed, nor are their burgers, cheese steaks and fries.

If you’re on the hunt for some après eats, then Dos Locos Mexican Restaurant and Cantina, also on Highway 6, will quench your slate. Dos Locos serves up a mean margarita and offers daily happy hour specials on food and drinks.

If your dining discriminations trend a little more upscale, Keystone restaurants have several renowned options for fine dining. Alpenglow Stube will please even the most judicious appetite. Diners access the famed restaurant via two gondolas. But it’s well worth the ride. Alpenglow Stube sits at 11,444 feet on North Peak. The menu offers everything from Colorado lamp chops to pan-seared salmon and vegetarian options, too. If the Rockies get you in the mood for high alpine fare, then be sure to make a reservation at Der Fondue Chessel. This traditional Alpine restaurant serves up just what you’d expect: cheese fondue, raclette and chocolate fondue for desert. And it’s also located atop North Peak, so you’ll be able to enjoy the mountain view, while you enjoy mountain fare.
