Ski.com Names Marcie Hawks Vice President Group Sales

Aspen, Colo. – April 5, 2013 – Ski.com (http://www.ski.com) today announced that Marcie Hawks has been named vice president group sales. Previously, Hawks managed the group sales efforts of Rocky Mountain Tours, a company acquired by Ski.com in 2010, where she served as vice president.

“Since the acquisition of Rocky Mountain Tours, Marcie has been a tremendous asset to Ski.com’s group sales efforts and to the company as a whole,” said Harry Peisach, Ski.com president and CEO. “We are fortunate to be able to benefit from Marcie’s long tenure in the industry and we look forward to growing our group and meetings and incentive business through Marcie’s leadership.”

Hawks, a graduate of Lehigh University, worked briefly on Wall Street before making a career change to the ski industry. She began by teaching skiing in Steamboat Springs, Colo. for two years and then worked as part of the national group sales team at Heavenly Mountain Resort. There, she spent nearly three years building relationships with resorts and wholesale partners. In December of 1991, Hawks moved to New Jersey where she helped grow Rocky Mountain Tours, the family business, into a leading tour operator for groups. In the late 1990s, Hawks served on the board of SkiTops for several years and had an active role in developing the organization’s structure.
