Experts can enjoy truly challenging ski routes at the Gaislachkogl ski mountain, and freeriders enjoy Gaislachkogl peak (3058m), where they find superb powder slopes off the beaten tracks. Experts do have a choice of good blacks and plenty of excellent ski touring opportunities, beginners have slopes at the top of the village. Most of the ski area is at a relatively high altitude by Austrian standards, making it more snow sure than most.

BIG3 | Ski 3 3,000 METER-HIGH MOUNTAINS

To acclimate to Solden's terrain and get the best vantage points, many experts will "ski the Big3" on their first day on the slopes. Solden is Austria's first resort which offers lift access to three 3,000-plus-meter (9,840-plus-foot) peaks

• **Gaislachkogl (3,048 m)**Right next to the top station of the Gaislachkoglbahn mountain gondola you find a light construction made of glass and steel, which houses the new panorama restaurant on Gaislachkogl. On its roof visitors enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the Alpine scenery. The rooftop terrace is connected to Gaislachkogl peak by a suspension bridge.
• **Tiefenbachkogl (3,250 m)**A 15-meter-high pyramid marks the ultimate adventure spot featuring an outstanding rock path covered in glass, suspended from steel cables. The platform towers 20 meters above a giant glacier snout and offers an unforgettable view of the surrounding mountains and glittering peaks, like Wildspitze, Tirol's highest mountain.
• **Schwarze Schneide (3,340 m)**A good physical shape is required for all those wanting to explore the platform on Schwarze Schneide, located approx. 90 meters (20-minute walk) above the gondola's top terminal. Enjoy the stunning views and vistas comprising an infinite number of 3,000 meter-high mountain peaks plus a spectacular 360-degree panorama (over 100km) from the Dolomites in the South to the Zugspitze peak in the North.
